中秋节快乐 Mum
5 years ago you left us with huge vacuum in our life. It felt like yesterday when we were lighting up lanterns during Mid-Autumn festive and offering mooncake and tea to the moon. I don't think current generation practice this anymore. It is not the offering to the moon that matters, it is the moments when all spend time together preparing for the offering, boiling tea, getting the small table out into the garden and most important of all the gathering of the entire family for the occasion. Remember you always reminded us never to point our index finger at the moon or else our ears will get cut. And as a kid, we will go against the warning and strangely, we got a cut on one of our ears next morning when we pointed our index finger at the moon. But I think the message is not about pointing the index finger at the moon BUT not at anyone no matter how angry we are. Index finger is also KNOWN as ego finger. So mum's wisdom continues and I will do my best to pass on. In fact it will be good to document some of these classic tales with a wisdom meaning behind them to share with future generations.

5th Anniversary - Chinese Calendar
5 years since you left us and today, I come to remember you at your resting place with some of your favourites. I had to work and so, couldn't gather the rest of the family to come with me. I knew you came to see me when I visited you. Sorry to wake you up so early.
I know eldest brother pray at his home too. It is always difficult each time when I reflect about the happy times in the olden days. I guess things will never be the same any more but I am glad we spent some quality time together when you were alive. Till we meet again......
